Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, the two biggest Hollywood stars, will feature in Quentin Tarantino’s new film.
According to Tarantino himself, the story “takes place in Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood. The two lead characters are Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio), former star of a western TV series, and his longtime stunt double, Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt). Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor . . . Sharon Tate.”
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Tarantino’s ninth film, will hit theaters on August 9, 2019, the 50th anniversary of the Tate killings.
Tarantino said he had worked for the script for five years and spent most of his life in Los Angeles, including the fatal 1969, when he was only seven.
DiCaprio has already won an Oscar in 2016, while Pitt was just nominated. Tarantino has received two Oscars for the films “Django Unchained” and “Pulp Fiction”.
Leonardo and Brad have previously collaborated with Tarantino, DiCaprio in the film “Django Unchained”, while Pitt in the movie “Inglorious Basterds”.
